Exclamation Sorry new and have couple of ?'s

ok,

1) When you die do you lose anything/drop anything?and what happens?
back when i played runescape...i know shame ...you lose your stuff?...help?

2)is there like a "bank" in this game where you can store stuff off of you?

3)ok 2 questions about money...when ppl say i just bought 15k armor...is that a lot of money? Again i used to play runescape and i wanted to know how much money is usually made, because i see lots of people with like 500 gold and have lots of sweet armor. Secondly what is platinum? is is like a form of gold but higher or what? like 1 plat is 1k or something?

Thanks for all the help in advanced guys,
Cap(t)ain Crunch

no permanent death penalty and you lose nothing

after the searing there is a storage vault to use for transfer between your characters

yes that is a lot of money as it is per PIECE of armor 75k total

on the other hand i have 60k sitting in my vault

1 plat is 1000 gold

edit

the 1.5k armor is just as effective but doesnt look as good

1. Yes, you lose a percentage of your maximum health and energy until you work it off via gaining experience. There is a maximum percentage that you can lose and it comes in 15% increments.

2. Yes, there are storage agents that all of your characters share so that you can transfer items and gold between them.

3. 15k isn't all that much as gold can be easy to come by. In the later game you will be making 1000+ gold per hour using the right strategies. Also, 1 Platinum equals 1000 gold pieces.

EDIT: now that I think about it 15k armor can be a lot of money depending on how often you play. Also, in reference to the death penalty, when you enter a town or outpost your current penalty is erased.

note

simply going back to town also removes the penalty

on the 1.5k yes, on the 60k no, unless they are talking Fissure of Woe armor (kinda). 60k is just 4 pieces of armor at 15k each. Fissure of Woe is the same, except it has some very expensive components ontop of the 15k / piece.

Unhappy dang...

Well heres the deal guys...My mom who is a perfectionist was going to do whatever it takes to get our vid card to work so i can play guild wars but she broke her collar(sorry for spelling, i think)bone yesterday night( ) when she got in an accident when training on her rode bike. Now i dont think im playing for another couple of weeks and i wanted to know...well i know rangers arnt for everyone/begginers but ive played rangers in other rpg's and i like the way there more brains and less tank. I like being in parties and its a little intimidating being a ranger and going out by myself and doing a mission. Are the beggining missons easy until i get some skills? Help from rangers would be nice but anything will do

You'll get plenty of skills right off the bat, and because the game is very nicely balanced you can always get a good character started right off. The first area is incredibly forgiving, and the first couple of missions afterwards similarly so, so don't worry about it.

in the pre-searing world (training area), most monsters do not initiate battles. So, you have nothing to worry about using a ranger. Besides, you'll probably carry your pet at least for that world so you shouldn't have a hard time there.

the higher your DP, the harder it is to complete a mission or quests, since your party (and you) will be weak against huge group attack.
